Cookie Policy
We use cookies to provide you with a better service and a better browsing experience, as well as to be able to show you advertising based on your browsing habits. We are responsible for the installation of the cookies we use and for what we do with the data we obtain, whether they are our own or third-party cookies. In the following table you will find links to facilitate your access to the points of this policy that are of interest to you. However, we recommend that you read it in full.
1. What are cookies and what else are stored in the browser?
Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser when you visit our website. These files contain information about your browsing and interaction with our website, in order to make your user experience more efficient and to be able to show you advertising based on your browsing habits. Some cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the website, such as technical cookies or cookies for customising the user interface, and others, such as analysis cookies or behavioural advertising (or marketing) cookies, require that we inform you and give you your consent before they can be used. LocalStorage and SessionStorage are two data storage spaces located in the browser of your device and, like cookies, they can be our own (when created by our own website) or third-party (when created by our service providers or our partners). The difference between the two spaces is that LocalStorage stores information indefinitely or until you decide to clear your browser data, while SessionStorage stores information for as long as the tab where you are using our website remains open, and once closed, the information is deleted. The difference with cookies is that both spaces allow you to store more information than cookies without impacting the website's performance.
You can find out more here. Finally, we inform you that, although the purpose of the third-party cookies we use, for which we are responsible, is as indicated in the tables in the following sections, these third parties may use the data collected by their cookies for other purposes, for which they are solely responsible. In the case of third-party cookies, our responsibility is limited to downloading the cookies to your device (which we do for the indicated purpose). You can find out about the purposes of these third parties and whether or not they make transfers to third countries in their corresponding policies (see the links in the table).
2. Are they dangerous?
The risk level of cookies generally depends on the type and whether they are first-party or third-party. Most cookies are not dangerous. Specifically:
Technical and preference cookies have more benefits than risks
The Article 29 Working Party (formerly WG29 and now European Data Protection Committee), in its Opinion 4/2012 on the exemption from the requirement of consent for cookies, considers that they do not pose a risk to you and exempts from the obligation to obtain prior consent for their use all cookies that:
- They are necessary for communications to be transmitted over a network between the user and the servers that host the website;
- They are necessary to provide a specific functionality explicitly requested by the user.
This exemption from the obligation to base the legality of its use on your consent, as it does not represent a risk for you, is also reflected in the cookie guides published by most data protection agencies in EU countries (for example, in the case of the Spanish agency, it is included in section 4.1 of the Guide on the use of cookies, from July 2020).
GT29 even defined goals that it explicitly considers to present more benefits than risks to you.
Cookie purposes explicitly excluded from informed consent
As regards its purpose, GT29 explicitly excludes the following cookies from the obligation to obtain informed consent from the visitor:
- So-called “user input” cookies, which are typically used to track user actions when filling out online forms in an HTTP session, or to remember the shopping cart that the user has selected in an online store.
- Session cookies used for user authentication or identification, which store a type of token (a witness that the user is who they say they are and has already been authenticated) to prevent the user from having to enter their username or password on each page that has restricted access control and requests it.
- User security cookies, introduced specifically to reinforce the security of the service explicitly requested by the user. For example, to detect repeated failed attempts to connect to a website or abuse.
- Media player session cookies.
- Session cookies to balance the load on information systems.
- User interface customization cookies, such as remembering your preferred language.
- Certain social sharing plug-in cookies.
Generally, in cases where a website offers visitors a service, to use cookies exclusively for the purposes for which consent is not required, listed above, whether they are our own or third-party, it is not necessary for the person responsible for the website - us - to inform the visitor that they are used or to obtain their consent.
Statistical cookies also do not pose an appreciable risk.
Regarding the processing of data collected through analysis cookies, the Opinion of the current European Data Protection Committee stated that, although they are not exempt from the obligation to obtain consent for their use, it is unlikely that they represent a risk to the privacy of users provided that they are proprietary cookies, that they process aggregated data for strictly statistical purposes, that information is provided about their uses and that the possibility for users to reject their use is included.
Own cookies do not usually pose any significant risk either.
First-party cookies are generated by our website, while third-party cookies are generated by services or providers independent of us, with these independent providers defining the purposes and means of the processing they carry out. Our only responsibility with respect to third-party cookies is the necessary collaboration of our website in placing these cookies on your computer, which we are normally obliged to do since it is necessary to be able to use the services provided by said third parties (for example, to check that you are not a robot, of the kind that abound on the Internet, and thus prevent requests or comments that you could send us through the website forms from harming the attention of authentic users).
3. What technical cookies do we use and for what purpose?
Technical cookies are those that allow the user to navigate through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available, including the management and operation of the website and the enabling of its functions and services (for example, identifying the session, accessing parts of the website that have restricted access, remembering the elements that make up the order, carrying out the purchase process of the order, managing the payment, etc.). The website cannot function properly without these cookies, which is why they are considered necessary.
In our specific case, we used the following:

4. We do not use preference cookies
Preference or personalization cookies allow our website to remember information that changes the way pages behave or look in order to differentiate your experience from that of other users. For example, the language in which you wish to view the website is usually remembered. If you voluntarily choose these features, for example, by checking the flag or the letters that identify the language, it is considered a service that you have expressly requested, provided that the cookies obey exclusively the purpose of personalization, for which in this case explicit authorization should not be requested. Our website does not use preference cookies.
5. What statistical cookies do we use and for what purpose?
Statistical or analysis cookies are those that allow us to understand how visitors interact with the pages of our website and, therefore, perform statistical analysis of the services we provide. The information collected is used to measure activity on our site in order to introduce improvements in the products and services we offer you. We will only use analysis cookies if you authorize us to do so, by clicking the corresponding button on the cookie banner or through the configuration menu. Specifically, our website uses the following analysis cookies:

6. What marketing cookies do we use and why?
Marketing or behavioural advertising cookies store information on user behaviour obtained through continuous observation of browsing habits, which allows the development of a specific profile in order to display advertisements that are relevant and attractive to the individual user and therefore more valuable to third-party advertisers. We will only use marketing cookies if you authorise us to do so by clicking the relevant button on the cookie banner or via the settings menu. Specifically, our website does not use any marketing cookies.
7. We do not use other elements that are stored in the browser
This website does not create storage spaces in the browser of the user's device, either for its own use or for the use of third parties.
8.How can I manage or disable cookies?
You can manage, administer and deactivate the cookies used by our website at any time from your browser, for example, to withdraw your consent, by following the instructions provided by your browser manufacturer:
- Instructions for Microsoft Edge
- Instructions for Google Chrome
- Instructions for Google Android
- Instructions for Internet Explorer 11
- Instructions for Mozilla Firefox
- Instructions for Opera
- Instructions for Safari
If you disable the installation of cookies in your browser, you can continue to access our website using the same browser, but navigation may not be optimal and some of the services offered may not function correctly.
9. Modifications to this cookie policy
We will update this cookie policy whenever necessary to reflect changes to our products and services. If there are material changes to this policy, we will notify you before they come into effect by posting a prominent notice on the cookie banner. In any case, we recommend that you periodically review this cookie policy to find out what cookies we use and how we use them.
